Last year, I went crazy with food and got fat, especially at Christmas when it was hard to resist cakes, pierogis, and other delicacies. Weighing 100 kilos at the end of December, I decided to change something. As a lover of fatty food, I decided to try a keto diet - high in fat, moderate in protein and low in carbohydrates. At first, it wasn't easy to cut out bread, pasta, sweets, and salty snacks.
I missed pizza, ramen, or crusty bread, but over time I accepted new foods. Thanks to keto, I feel better, have more energy, and most importantly, I lost 13 kilograms. This is no accident. Scientific studies show that the keto diet can produce better weight loss results than other diets, such as low-fat diets. Keto also helps control blood sugar in people with diabetes and lowers cholesterol.
We often choose unhealthy options like cheeseburgers, fries, and ice cream over healthier alternatives. They may be tasty and cheap, but they are not healthy. Neurologist Valerie G. In ancient times, people needed to get as much energy as possible from limited food, so fatty meats or sweet fruits were valuable.
But today, in an age of food abundance, our bodies are not designed to consume so many calories, especially saturated fats and simple sugars. So the key is the source of the calories, not the amount. For example, flaxseed oil has a lot of calories, but it is healthy thanks to good fats, vitamins, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. Healthy fats, such as those found in avocados and nuts, are beneficial to our health, while fast foods are harmful because they are high in calories and low in nutritional value. The keto diet allows you to focus on good fats, like coconut oil or butter, and avoid unhealthy temptations, leading to better health and well-being. So with the Keto Diet you can strive for a healthier lifestyle, control your weight and improve your overall body condition, while enjoying tasty and filling meals based on good fats.
